These attack mailers are getting old. Multiple times the claim has been made that Keith Gibbons raised taxes on the school board. For three straight years! Then they go on to say it was in 2021, 2022 and 2023. I must be pretty darn extreme if I was able to do that while not even being a member of the Board of Education. I was elected to serve the residents in November of 2022 and sworn in January of 2023.
It is also a pretty bold claim coming from the Dave Mayer Camp who has raised taxes 93.1% since he has taken office. Or a cool 9.6% in the same time frame he is blaming me of raising your school taxes… while I was simply a resident.
The Truth
On the Board of Education, I am one vote of 9 members. In the year I took office the local tax levy stayed flat and we cleared the debt. This is all public information if you cared to check it out on the school district’s website [BY CLICKING HERE]. Oddly enough, the local tax levy went down slightly. The exact opposite of the claim in the mailer.
Believe what you wish
If you want to believe the mailers without doing your research, you are absolutely allowed to do that. I would encourage you to look into it on your own. One side can be verified by publicly accessible records. The other is “opposition research” from the people who were taking my trash attempting to find SOMETHING they could use against me.
I have exposed on several occasions who the names are behind the Political Action Committee paying for this stuff. But I have not mentioned the name of the individual who is the paid “opposition research”. His name is Steve Ayscue. Below is an OPRA request he sent in attempting to find dirt.
Steve is the “go-to” research guy and runs a firm called Checkmate Advisors, LLC. You can view how much he was paid during the losing 2025 primary election for Steve Sweeney on the NJELEC Website [BY CLICKING HERE] and typing in his company name. Or you can search by location– Haddonfield (Ayscue’s office) or Haddon Heights (where he lives). Shortly you should be able to see how much he was paid for his research in Gloucester Township.

This Steve Ayscue is a perfect example of how people following party lines as if you are rooting for your favorite football team are just being played. I show this connection above as one example, but this same guy was also the second in charge for Hillary Clinton’s campaign in NJ. It’s all about money and power.
Not for me. It’s about the people of Gloucester Township. All of them. Everyone deserves actual representation, not just the chosen ones.
